God causes 120,000 men to kill each other

Judges 7:20-22a,8:10 The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!" While each man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled. When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the LORD caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords.

Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with a force of about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of the armies of the eastern peoples; a hundred and twenty thousand swordsmen had fallen.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY

This is a bit confusing but I think I got this right. Let me know if I didn't.

Hey, people do crazy things out of fear. If you had a huge army(or so you may think) surrounding you, and it DEFINITELY was going to kill you, then of course you'll either try to escape or take your own life rather than die at another man's hands in a way that man chooses.

So what you're saying is it isn't possible because you cannot conceive the idea in your own thought process? There's no credibility to your argument.

With Gideon's defeat of the Midianites I'm reminded of the hysteria gripping America now. We have two basic hysteria's, I think going on. One is terrorism and all the war like commotion, including cyber scare and increased police presence. The other is the victim culture exploited by the media. People are in a panic. It's neighbor against neighbor. Trust no one suspect everyone. 1 800 turn turn in whoever you feel like. So how would an enemy divide and conquer a powerful nation like America? I don't think they could have devised a more brilliant plan than the divide and conquer that's going on now exploited in this information/media age with the public's arrogance. The only solution has always been humble unity with God's word. Please join me an pray for America.
