The peaceful people of Laish slaughtered

Judges 18:27 Then they took what Micah had made, and his priest, and went on to Laish, against a peaceful and unsuspecting people. They attacked them with the sword and burned down their city.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY

For what were the people of Laish being judged?

The people of Laish were not being judged for anything. It is the Danites who were judged for these actions. They abandoned God's blessing and sought their own. This whole chapter illustrates the depravity of Israel, or at least the tribe of Dan, during this time.
